Singer Mahesh Sewa wins 21st Annual Tuborg Image Award in Best Vocal Performance (male) category

One of the celebrated singers from Darjeeling hills, Mahesh Sewa wins the 21st Annual Tuborg Image Award in the category of best vocal performance (male) in an award function held at Kathmandu on September 21. He won the award for his latest song ‘Baba ko topi’.

Mahesh Sewa is a popular singer from Darjeeling hills whose first album ‘Bhakkano’ was the smashing hit during the year 2000. Born and brought up at Tindharay (Rajbari) Kurseong, Darjeeling district to Lt. SB Sewa and Purna Sewa, he started singing from his early age of 7. He completed his course in Indian classical vocal from Giti Gunj music school, Kurseong. He already has four albums and many songs to his credits.
