Mantra, the popular band from Darjeeling, met with an accident at Sarankot near Pokhara yesterday evening, evoking a deep sense of anxiety on their condition by their fans and well-wishers.
Lead guitarist, Praggya Lama, vocalist, Bhaskar Dewan and keyboardist, Manish Allay Thapa met with an accident while on their way to Pokhara. As informed by the sources, the band members are out of danger. However, they have suffered injuries and are under treatment in Nepal.
Drummer, Briz Choudhary who was not at the accident posted on social media-
“Dear all,
Thank you so much for all the love and concern. WE ARE ALL SAFE. The situation is stable and better regarding yesterday’s car accident of Mantra band at Pokhara (Nepal).
However, we are still dealing with a chaotic situation. I would request you to act advocately and not share news with half hearted information and pictures of the situation in the social media as this is catapulting into rumours resulting in chaos, panic, concern and fear among our families, friends,fans and all well wishers globally..
We will keep you posted on any further progress. Thank you all for your prayers, love and support…
